this painting is very close to my heart.steffi was a rescue dog she was owned by a tramp and when i got her from him for 20 pounds she was only a stone in weight and covered in glue . after a bath (she was dark brown all over ) an abscessed tooth out,an ear infection sorted .and lots of food her ears pricked up and she piled on nearly a stone a week........ she was my constant companion,protector and best friend for 3 years.little did i know but she was also riddled with cancer and passed away as it was untreatable.my heart broke the night she died .it took me three years to paint her portrait as i just could,nt face it .i,m glad i did though .the hardest part for me was her eyes ,the same eyes that pleaded to me to save her. i hope people love her portrait as much as i loved her..........................now the tears .........................

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. It's really horrible and painful when it happens, when you discover that your dog has cancer >.< I had already lost 3 dogs because of it ç.ç
